FWCC’s Holiday Hope

Help us make the holidays a little brighter for our neighbors.

The holidays should be a time for comfort, connection, and joy. But for many families, the added costs of holiday meals, gifts, clothing, and everyday necessities can make this season especially difficult.

Fort Worth Community Collaborative is launching Holiday Hope — an initiative to help local families experience the warmth of the holidays while making sure essential needs are not forgotten.

Through our existing community programs, we are working to provide holiday essentials, family meal kits, stockings, and thoughtful gifts tailored to the needs and wishes of the people we serve. From fresh pajamas and cozy blankets to household necessities and holiday baking kits, every contribution helps us create a more comfortable, joyful season for our neighbors.

 

How Holiday Hope will help

FEED FWISD families:

We plan to support up to five participating families, with an estimated 25 children, through a combination of household essentials and personalized items for each child.

Families will receive everyday necessities such as laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and toothbrushes, along with a holiday meal kit, a cake kit, and their regular FWISD grocery bag.

Each child will receive socks, underwear, pajamas, a blanket, and items selected to reflect their individual needs and wishes.

VOUCHER families:

10 families participating in our existing voucher program will receive household and personal care essentials, a cake kit, a holiday kit, and three to five additional items selected around their needs and wishes.

When requested, we will also offer families wrapping supplies so they can prepare gifts in the way that works best for their household.

MEAL KITS:

We aim to provide 100 holiday stockings and 100 holiday food kits:

• 75 holiday meal kits with ingredients for a holiday meal and cake.

• 25 protein-focused kits with protein-rich food staples and a sweet treat.

• 100 stockings filled with small comforts and treats, such as lip balm, candy, hand sanitizer, and lotion.

At Fort Worth Community Collaborative, we believe everyone deserves barrier-free access to basic needs, dignity, and community care. Holiday Hope is one more way we can put that belief into action.
